Atlas Fallen

Distant pleadings, musical prayers,
Filter in whispers through the paper,
Each memory reflecting choices tinted
By oleander scales in origami skies,
Hymnal choirs sanctified by hope.

Dawn breaks, arms embrace,
Open lips lock, oaths entwine,
Seas rise, gates open, the globe spins,
Weaving help through dire straits,
Atlas fallen the angels navigate.

I chose her, the stainless one,
Saintly as a snowdrop in spring,
Tidal resistance sparing her shore,
Unlocking her warmth in lofty parcels,
Soapy eddies enswirling the currents,
Answers soaring over the horizon strong.

North we sail, selflessly in tune,
Bound to others yet hiding in shadows,
Ideals consumed, utopia conceded,
A mystery built out of love and war,
Safety, cleanliness, pain and growth,
Leading the way on a path of stardust.
