Death's Gift

A new beginning, a transition of states Recombines life into invisible strings, Its particles sieved into abstractions That scatter across the land in hidden gems Like the mental atlas of all our thoughts. When it's time to leave, the curtain closes On one life, opens on another, signaling To the voyagers that while many things We had when living get lost, death's gift Is the only thing we can permanently keep.
